Allstate Insurance Company located in Northbrook, Illinois is posting for Summer Intern positions in its Law & Regulation Department. The position will assign interns to two 5-week rotations among the multiple law divisions. The possible rotation opportunities can include Dispute Resolution Services, Corporate Governance, Financial Law, Investment Law, and Protection Law. The responsibilities of the intern position include, among other things, research and preparation of legal memoranda and oral presentations under the supervision of a licensed Allstate attorney.

Qualification

The salary is competitive and the position begins approximately mid May, 2011 and last approximately 10 weeks. Ideal candidates should have outstanding research and writing skills along with effective oral communication skills. The candidates should also have proficient word processing and online legal research skills. We are looking for second year law students with high energy and self-starters who enjoy working in a collegial team oriented environment.
