Practice Manager-Urology

PositionSummary:

This position oversees the daily functions and provides management and supervision for academic and clinical back office operations in one or more surgical divisions. Supervises and manages clerical staff in division office and/or other hospital locations. Works with multidisciplinary team of physicians and staff to maintain an environment that encourages customer service and promotes employee satisfaction. Oversees, monitors, and manages the accurate scheduling of patients. Maintains and revises physician templates as necessary. Collaborates with point of service and central registration staff to ensure the smooth flow of patients within the clinic setting. Interacts with the Director of Physician Billing for the economic unit and coding analysts to ensure the collection of payments at the point of service and the complete, accurate and timely submission of all professional charges. Oversees preparation and analysis of financial and statistical information to aid in decision-making. Works diligently with various hospital leaders in continuous quality improvements. Collaboratively supports principal investigators and physicians relative to research grants and studies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities::
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational courses and leadership experience in a physician group practice or healthcare environment.
  2. Three to five years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
  3. Excellent leadership skills, ability to work with a team, excellent oral and written communication skills, good analytical ability, excellent organizational skills, understanding of financial budgets and reports, knowledge of hospital information systems.
