Training Program Coordinator
General Summary of Position Responsibility:
Essential Job Functions:
1. Manages classroom and/or event logistics, i.e., may help set up media equipment, computers, network connections as needed. Coordinates instructor schedules and may prepare course and/or event materials. Administers the systems needed to track classroom scheduling, learner enrollment, completions and wait listing of learning sessions. Coordinates documentation and reporting of training or other service requests.
2. Serves as a back-up resource to provide training on use of learning technology, and online tools such as performance support, assessments, course evaluations or blended learning sessions.
3. Monitors department expenses and produces reports to assist with budget planning and management.
4. Assists E-Learning Manager to coordinate the technology planning and implementation for content management strategy for all digital learning assets, i.e., graphics, videos, illustrations, documents and web-based courses. Manages inventory of course assets including updating the inventory, change management and life cycle of assets. Deploys assets in content management system and delivery system (Microsoft SharePoint). Assists department staff with, templates, style sheets and links required to create an information for learners. Maintains template standards and act as gatekeeper of those standards. Partners with E-Learning Manager in implementing a reuse strategy for all department content and learning assets by metadata coding, standardization, retrieval and information design. Acts as gatekeeper to ensure only courses that meet the production and technology standards of the department are deployed.
5. Assists in the administration of the learning management system, delivery technologies and content management systems. Monitors system issues that impact learners and coordinates technical resolution.Implements content strategy for training software environments that may includea schedule for updating, refreshing or archiving data. Assists department leaders in the assessment of new tools and immerging learning technologies. May assist in the testing with Information Management (IM) to assess new development tools on standard, desktop environments. Reports testing and functionality results and helps to educate IM desktop personnel on use and functionality of tools, required plug-in technologies and desktop standards.
6. May assist in setting up report formats and analysis of learner metrics.
7. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum of associate degree or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor degree preferred.
2. Minimum four (4) years work experience coordinating training programs, events and working with learning systems technologies desired.
3. Experience working with learning, authoring and publishing tools such as Microsoft Office applications, Visio, Adobe Captivate, Flash, Flex or Articulate Presenter preferrred
4. Must have excellent organizational skills to effectively manage priorities of multiple team members and deliverables. Project management experience desired.
5. Previous experience with technology implementations and helpdesk desired. Strong in troubleshooting of application/technology issues.
6. Familiar with content management and learning management systems including standards: AICC-Aviation Industry Computer-based training Committee, SCORM-Sharable Content Object Reference Model, XML technology and information frame structures preferred
7. Must be comfortable learning new technology applications, teaching others to use these applications.
8. Ability to type at least 40 wpm preferred
9. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills required
