PFS Data Coordinator

General Summary of Position Responsibility:

Maintaining a thorough familiarity with the Stockamp TRAC and ONTRAC systems, supervising the critical daily operations required for producing daily and weekly reports, overseeing download processing, informing Stockamp and Associates of report-related issues that are beyond internal troubleshooting abilities, serving as the liaison between Stockamp’s client support staff and CMH staff.. Receives the three monthly Blue Cross Experience Reports, reconciles differences between the Blue Cross Experience Report and expected reimbursement, alerts staff in Patient Financial Services, Reimbursement, and Managed Care of apparent discrepancies, and initiates the necessary steps to explain and to resolve the discrepancies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college experience in business or accounting degree preferred. Significant and progressive experience in Patient Financial Services may be accepted in lieu of educational requirements.

Minimum of (5) five years of progressive experience in patient financial services environment with thorough knowledge of billing, claim processing (electronic or otherwise), and follow up procedures for all payers is needed.

Must have extensive skills in windows-based personal computers, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, ability to work efficiently under pressure with a variety of tasks requested by several members of management, ability to work independently, and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills to relate to various hospital departments, and management staff.
