Clinical Research Coordinator-Critical Care Medicine

Position Summary:
Collects and manages patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects. Screens and oversees the recruitment of subjects.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates reimbursement of subjects
Assists clinical research personnel in the implementation of clinical research studies
Assists in identifying eligible subjects and recruitment of study subjects
Develops a relationship with study subjects
Collects study materials from subjects
Orders supplies for data collection
Maintains inventory of supplies or equipment
Records data on case report forms from source documents
Develops worksheets/tools for collecting patient data
Data interpretation and extraction
Conducts literature searches
Assist with QA/QC procedures
Participates in research related conferences
Abstracts data from medical records and enters medical information/data onto protocol specific case report forms, study flow sheets and other required study forms
Assists with preparation of protocols, informed consents, amendments and other necessary documents for review by the IRB and sponsor
Prepares abstracted/coded data for computer processing/analysis
Shows desire and initiative to increase knowledge and skills in clinical research
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field, with 1-3 years experience in clinical research OrMinimum of 1 year experience as a Clinical Research Associate.
Familiarity and experience with FDA and IRB regulatory requirements is preferred.
Fluent in Spanish preferred.
