Job Summary
Sales Consultants are responsible for selling the products and services offered by Ashley Furniture HomeStore. Consultants will educate consumers on the features and benefits of products for their homes based on their needs, tastes, and requested price points. Assist with the selection of accessories, accent pieces, and warranty. Consultants are required to work with the consumer from the relationship building and problem-solving phase, all the way through product delivery and beyond. Previous retail experience required, (commission sales experience a plus), great customer relation skills, and knowledge of Windows based software are a must. The ability to work in a changing and fast paced environment is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participates actively in weekly sales and product training
  
• Implements opening and closing procedures
  
• Implements all cleaning standards as directed by management
  
• Aware of area competition
  
• Complies with the stores UP S system
  
• Greets the customer in a professional sales manor
  
• Attempts to close each opportunity with each customer
  
• Attempts to add on items with each sale
  
• Attempts to add on extended warranty with each sale
  
• Completes the proper paperwork correctly and completely
  
• Performs product presentations
  
• Qualifies customer with questions
  
• Contacts customer after delivery to ensure total satisfaction
  
• Records customer information to track advertising effectiveness
  
• Completes all sales tracking as directed by management
  
• Maintains professional image
  
• Completes other assignments and projects as requested

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma, and at least six months sales experience
  
• One year retail experience
  
• Knowledge of product pricing, inventory status and terms of sale
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Basic PC skills
