About the role:
Responsible for accessing, analyzing and leveraging insights from client data to support and enable profitable product, pricing and promotion decisions in support of partner customer strategies. They will influence strategic direction by ensuring analytic activities are developed in line with business objectives using the right data. They will contribute to the success of corporate objectives by developing cutting-edge solutions in support of customer-based marketing strategies. They will lead the account team from a data-management perspective by developing expert understanding of the transactional and customer databases that we leverage for our analytics work.
PLEASE NOTE: this role requires the candidate to work onsite at our client's office on a full time basis
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and make recommendations for process improvements and best practices; own implementation of recommendations required.
- Provide a consultative approach in delivering relevant ideas, solutions and results to clients and business partners.
- Design, develop and automate analytical applications in proprietary database and SAS.
- Provide reporting and metrics to senior leadership.
- Act as a lead analyst to extract, collect and analyze data, interpret results and pinpoint trends.
- Share learning and best practices amongst peers and cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for keeping existing systems and databases up to date.
- Responsible for development and management of data access and analysis processes to support and enable profitable product, pricing and promotion decisions in support of partner customer strategies.
- Provide expert understanding of multiple client databases and leverages that understanding to support advanced analytics and direct marketing initiatives.
- Works with multiple clients across various technology platforms including DB platforms, Analytics platforms and Reporting platforms to extract and integrate Precima solutions into clients operational technology infrastructure.
- Actively participate in Precima new product capability and technology development.
- Support business development activities with proof of concept and technical support using in-house, 3rd party and client technology framework .
- Provide analysis and insight through contextual application and presentation.
- Share learning and best practices amongst peers and junior analysts.
- Manage projects within business unit and across the organization, with cross-organizational team members, utilizing additional resources outside of the immediate group as required.
- Work closely with internal team, 3rd party providers and clients to deliver database applications.
- Attend and participate in industry related conferences and seminars.
- Direct client activities as it relates to technology implementation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience in industry.
- Proficiency with SAS and SQL.
- Internal and external supervision of on-going and project based activities
- High level of proficiency, experience and certification across enterprise-level applications and infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in relational databases (IBM DB2, Oracle, Netezza), Cognos, Microstrategy, SAP.
- Experience working on and/or leading cross-functional teams.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with an ability to evaluate and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Self motivated, with demonstrated initiative and high energy; ability to motivate others to action.
- Strong business acumen with excellent interpersonal skills; diplomatic and professional; articulate and confident.
- Ability to think and react quickly, and prioritize tasks based on client needs.
- Flexible and strong aptitude to manage change.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Intermediate project management skills with a strong ability to multi-task.
