The Direct Sales and Service organization is the largest growing segment of Sales and Customer Service. Area of Responsibility:
The Sales Initiatives and Acquisitions Director will provide strategic leadership in overseeing the development of sales growth initiatives and processes for the Direct channel to align with the corporate goal of building a World Class Direct organization. This role partners with leaders across sales channels and other departments, while leveraging functional expertise and knowledge of the business to create growth opportunities.
In alignment with corporate goals, specific responsibilities for the Sales Initiatives and Acquisitions Director will include:
Develop strategic process for inbound and outbound sales lead management to maximize effectiveness and delivery to sales team;
Lead new growth initiative areas including affinity and partnerships, competitive advantage, and sales process development to be implemented through multiple sales and service distribution channels (direct sales call centers and web operations.);
Provide competitive intelligence in evaluating new and innovative sales processes to generate and manage sales leads;
Conduct continuous external benchmarking to ensure competitive advantage;
Influence enterprise leaders regarding innovative sales processes and build relationships to enhance the implementation across sales channels and cross-functional departments;
Provide strategic guidance and direction on the sales and business development of programs and initiatives;
Actively engage in talent development for the Direct Sales function and proactively focus on acquiring and developing the best talent for this team;
Leads and direct the strategic planning and design of sales operations, programs and initiatives to support the changing business tactics;
Direct the leadership of large scale programs, processes, projects and multiple facets of human capital management of crucial resources to support company initiatives.
Qualification
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility in the following areas:
Experience working in the insurance industry
Proven experience and documented success in sales operations and sales leadership;
Experience leading in a fast paced and changing growth environment;
Designing and implementing various sales programs and initiatives focused on achieving growth across multiple distribution channels;
Increasing levels of responsibility in field or regional sales roles;
Experience working in a call center environment;
Demonstrated experience in recruiting and developing leadership talent.
A bachelor's degree is required and a MBA is preferred.
