SEO Systems Analyst
This SYSTEMS ANALYST - position is an experienced, professional-level role within Allstate Insurance. As a Systems Analyst - Professional you will be responsible for applying business processes knowledge to create high-level technical requirements/designs and develop/support IT solutions.
We are looking for a full time systems analyst to come work on the internet team to help drive forward our direct strategy. You will be involved in ecommerce and SEO development on a myriad of web sites, from Allstate.com to www.allstateagencies.com.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Specifies technical and business related requirements, and creates high level technical design by analyzing business and functional requirements, and systems architecture.
- Serves as advocate for technical and architectural knowledge and standards within the team
- Provides input into detailed project estimates and work plan, when necessary, collaborate with others to drive accuracy.
- Applies business and IT knowledge as a basis to drive optimal technology and business solutions
- Supports and contributes to module and integration testing and functional testing
- Facilitates the change analysis process for technical requirements and design
- Supports the evaluation of vendor software and other technology tools
- Partners with the appropriate technology organizational groups to provide necessary operations / environment / desktop documentation

Qualification
- 5-7 years experience in the following:
- Designing and implementing multi-tiered ecommerce applications in the insurance or financial industry on ASP.NET
- Working with in-house reference frameworks build on-top of C#
- Knowledge working on SEO / SEM on externally facing web sites
- Understanding of existing SEO best practices, driven to stay on top of advancements
- Experience using tools such as Omniture SiteCatalyst or Quest Fog light customer experience viewer to help analyze and assess areas of improvement on transactional and non-transactional sites
- Experience partnering with SEO vendors to take recommendations and turn them into solutions
- Experience working with Omniture site search to tune site searches
- Technical Skills:
- ASP.NET design and implementation experience
- Broad knowledge of .NET framework
- Experience working with and designing for SQL Server or Oracle
- Knowledge of Autonomy TeamSite 6.7.x and above a plus
- Experience designing for applications that use AJAX, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience working with Windows Server 2008 / IIS 7
- Knowledge of automated build and release tools like MSBuild and CruiseControl
- Strong SDLC experience and application architecture/design background
- General Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast paced ecommerce environment
- Team player who can also lead technical teams through brainstorming and idea generation
- Proven ability to learn and master new concepts quickly
- Ability to partner with people at all levels to deliver results
- Ability to work successfully with both on-shore and off-shore resources
- Proven communication skills, able to clearly relay information to both technology and business resources
