Position Overview / Scope of Job:
Assist in trade support, reporting, data quality, ad hoc requests and special projects for multiple Credit Asset Classes.
Responsibilities:
- Generate established reports and create new reports of increasing complexity with minimal guidance, such as those requiring data manipulation and integration of data from more than one source.
- Preserve data integrity of several key reporting applications. Perform detailed analysis of reports for completeness and accuracy and reconcile data with independent sources where applicable.
- Ad hoc reporting or process creation / improvement requests.
- Manage projects of moderate complexity.
- Look for opportunities to leverage technology and recommend innovative ways to meet reporting needs.
Qualification
Required Skills
- Demonstrated aptitude in financial analysis and ability to handle and resolve complex data issues.
- Ability to work independently yet maintain strong working relations with team members and external clients across investments.
- Good organizational skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy of results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments.
- Self-motivated work ethic with a clear desire to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic investment environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
- Strong leadership/communication skills as this position has significant cross-functional interaction with other areas of Investments and Allstate.
Experience Required:
Extensive experience in a "client-facing" Accounting or Finance role is required. Management experience is a plus.
Computer Proficiency:
Advanced/Expert level in Excel and solid Powerpoint skills. MicroStrategy, CreditScope, Intex, and Bloomberg experience not required but a plus.
Education:
College degree required. Master's degree, CPA, and CFA designation not required but a plus.
