LCMS Integration and Instructional Design Professional

The LCMS Implementation Specialist/Instructional Designer will work as part of the Agency Sales Education Team to successfully implement and integrate a new Learning Content Management System (LCMS). The LCMS will support the Agency Sales Education team's mission to deliver best-in-class education solutions that drive growth through the Allstate Exclusive Agency channel. The team is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of education programs that support growth through Allstate agencies, licensed staff and Field Sales Leaders and is aligned with the Sales and Customer Service business strategy. In particular, this position will partner with other team members and business partners in the implementation and integration of a new Learning Content Management System.
Scope and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the implementation of Learning Content Management System (LCMS) within Agency Sales and across the Sales and Customer Service organization. This may also include broader enterprise integration.
- Collaborating with senior management and other stakeholders to create an overall architecture and strategy for learning programs for the company.
- Evaluating and migrating existing course content into a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) when appropriate.
- Consulting on the best use of existing learning technologies, and the definition of course development standards for various training deliverables (eLearning, classroom, web-based, etc.) as it relates to the LCMS
- Using structured writing and reusable learning objects to bring programs to market quickly and drive consistency across education programs and areas of responsibility.
- Consulting with internal business clients (both in home office and the field) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning requirements and recommend appropriate strategies to meet the needs. Learning strategies may include formal course development (ILT, Virtual ILT, eLearning) as well as performance support solutions (Job Aids, Video-bursts, Talk Paths, etc.).
- Compiling content into appropriate learning guides including: workbooks, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, PowerPoint slides and eLearning templates within the framework established for the LCMS.
- Managing medium to large cross-functional projects within time, budget and quality measurements, through the development and execution of documented project plans within accepted project management standards.
- Providing consistent metrics to the organization that will help align the on-going efforts and enable a clear understanding of cost, time, resource implications and ROI.
- Supporting all phases of instructional systems design including analyzing, designing, developing, and evaluating education solutions.
- Applying principles of adult learning to create interactive programs that help learners apply skills on-the-job.
- Conducting audience and task analysis to identify performance needs.
- Recording, editing and producing video content for delivery via web platform.
- Supporting the implementation of education deliverables including the facilitation of train-the-trainer programs and communication strategies to promote the course/program.
- Representing the organization at gatherings and conferences describing products and capabilities.

Qualification
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Education, Training/Curriculum Development or related field; Masters preferred.
- 8+ years learning and development experience
- Experience in content management systems (CMS) deployment
- Experience in single source publishing through CMS and/or Learning Content Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of corporate training practices and marketplace including current technologies and blended solutions.
- Strong knowledge of curricula and education methods.
- Knowledge of learning infrastructures.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the principles of adult learning and demonstrate expertise in designing, developing and delivering a range of instructional materials including e-Learning, virtual classroom and web meetings.
- Experience developing curriculum, courseware and performance support systems.
- Experience creating and managing content within a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) is preferred.
- Experience with video production preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make general assumptions and implement action plans.
- Must have a strong record of implementing creative, innovative and successful development programs and processes that have contributed measurably to organizational objectives.
- Must be adept at project management and driving results and must have the flexibility to manage competing demands and changing priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
