Search Marketing Specialist - (Job Number: 000AHM)
The purpose of this position is to support the ongoing development, execution and measurement of search marketing acquisition programs that support the Direct Channel. This is a newly created position due to the exciting growth of our online business and customer acquisition strategy.
The scope of the job is to identify, communicate, and execute search engine marketing tactics by managing projects in search, online and/or Internet marketing areas to drive acquisition, meet business goals, and improve the customer experience.
This position requires the ability to apply detailed Search knowledge to actionable insights and recommendations. The Search Specialist will assist the Search Program Manager in driving strategic Search expertise within the team as well as helping to develop innovative search strategies to meet and exceed Allstate's business objectives.

Qualification
- 2-3 years of Search experience
- Experience in both organic and paid search
- Experience in applying search marketing to brand-building & direct response initiatives
- Strong command of search engine research and reporting resources
- Ability to leverage search strategies within the total communications plan
- Knowledge of syndicated research tools such as ComScore, HitWise, AdGooroo and WordTracker
- Experience with at least one of the major bid management tools
- Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Strong understanding of online media optimization techniques including CPA, CPC, CPL & revenue share models
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Collaborative approach/attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize issues/projects for self
- Excellent understanding of digital fundamentals and researh
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities of this position include:
- Identifying and executing testing of new Internet technologies to drive acquisition and improve the customer experience
- Analyzing and reporting on program effectiveness using web analytics and ad tracking tools to provide recommendations to optimize campaigns and site conversions
- Developing an understanding of and making recommendations on cohesion and leveraging of organic and paid rankings with online advertising
- Continually evaluating and improving the effectiveness of campaigns through creative testing, bid management, landing page optimization, and other tactics
