Marketing Senior Manager - (Job Number: 000AEF)
Reporting to the Director, Planning, Measurement and Administration, the Senior Marketing Analytics Manager, will develop and produce marketing analysis relating to Allstate customers, products, and distributions channels. The primary role of this individual is to serve as mentor/coach to the entire analytics team and to develop expertise in marketing operations, marketing information, campaign test design, measurement infra-structure, and to develop advanced computer code so as to serve as this mentor. Additionally, this position will design, develop and interpret statistical and business analyses/models utilizing enterprise databases for business units that do not currently have these capabilities. This position will provide accurate timely campaign and portfolio analyses including baseline portfolio metrics. The analyses and metrics will be critical input to the marketing decision making process. The primary audience for these analyses will be marketing senior management and internal business partners
Qualification
The skills required are:
Creative problem solving in an analytical and technology-based environment (advanced)
Written and presentation skills of complex issues (advanced level)
Use of analytical software (SAS/SPSS) (advanced level)
Manipulation and large data format in UNIX Operating System, and Oracle database environment (advanced level)
Ability to interpolate data as information and information as relevant to business strategies and economics
Microsoft EXCEL, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook (intermediate level)
Above average information technology skills, including large multi-dimensional database experience including efficient querying of large database with operational component (performance degradation) (intermediate to advanced level)
Familiar with general demographic concepts, including census data geographic divisions (zip codes, census tracts, block groups, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to manipulate and qualify information at lowest detail level (intermediate to advanced level)
Project management capabilities within large and small teams
Coaching and mentoring for complex technical and business issues related to marketing programs.
Experience Required:
Working in a sophisticated multi-dimensional database-marketing environment.
Experience in the development analytical processes and output, specifically in the areas of measurement, evaluation and recommendation.
Advanced understanding of marketing campaigns, analytical concepts and methods, including knowledge of database marketing techniques for direct mail.
Understanding of marketing targeting concepts, application of models, segmentation methodologies
Working effectively in non-structured environment, independently with minimal management involvement
