Product Operations Analyst - (Job Number: 000A7I)
Quantitative Research and Analytics Department within Allstate is responsible for supporting other internal business units with a broad range of research and analytical projects. This position requires analysts to:
- Maintain business models and competitive premium databases that help measure Allstate's competitive position relative to the industry.
- Measure, analyze, and create reports that track Allstate's profitability against pre-determined measures of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing competitor trend analysis
- Identifying market or risk segments
- Facilitating the best use of competitive databases.
- Complete moderate data extractions
- Identify and resolve basic data issues
- Performs and evaluates basic trend analysis
- Analyzes information from a variety of sources and reviews analysis from others
- Maintain Allstate rating plans in support of rate changes
- Understanding Allstate and competitor's key initiatives
- Production of daily, weekly, or monthly reports
- Perform moderate ad-hoc data requests for the company regarding competitive or profitability analytics
- Follows appropriate analyses to be conducted for projects to make recommendations to achieve corporate goals

Qualification
- Intermediate / Advanced: Communication - both written and oral
- Intermediate: Qualitative and Quantitative analytical skills
- Beginner / Intermediate: Project Management Skills
- Intermediate: Process Development
- Beginner / Intermediate: Experience in Insurance Operations and Rating Plans
- Intermediate: Microsoft Office Suite of tools, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Beginner / Intermediate: Tactician, SAS, query tools (Business Objects, SQL)
- Standard Knowledge: The use of data sources and applications to conduct research; attention to detail; time management; project management
