Organizational Effectiveness Consultant - (Job Number: 0009VJ)',
This ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS CONSULTANT position is an entry-level role within Allstate Insurance. As an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant, you will be responsible for providing organizational effectiveness solutions that increase the health of individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve sustainable business results.
This position is based within Allstate Technology & Operations (ATO). ATO is the largest technology organization within Allstate and provides technology and operations support for the # 1 publicly traded property and casualty insurance carrier in the U.S.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Participates in the design of leading edge organizational effectiveness practices utilizing fundamental knowledge, best practices and benchmarking. Applies functional professional knowledge in appropriate situations based on understanding of clients and the business.
- Builds basic knowledge of common OE/OD tools and methodologies; and begins to understand how and when to apply them based on the situation and specific needs.
- Supports the providing of strategic direction to the development and/or implementation of subsets of organizational effectiveness solutions and services by partnering with more senior OE professionals and others.
- Designs and executes small to medium workforce Organizational Effectiveness interventions and ensures solutions are consistent with overall goals of the organization.
- Participates in organizational development consultation to identify client needs. Provides basic consulting services with guidance or counsel from senior practitioners.

Qualification
The successful candidate should exhibit the following skills and abilities:
- Internal Consulting - Understands the basic role of an internal consultant in terms of client relationships and staff interactions.
- Strategic Thinking - Training and/or exposure to strategic or long-range planning.
- Business Analysis - Ability to grasp and apply basic analysis concepts and break down a problem to achieve conclusions.
- Facilitation - Basic proficiency to facilitate meetings and processes where the subject is moderately complex.
- Change Management - Fundamental proficiency to demonstrate change management processes in practical and moderate difficulty situations.
- Organizational Development - Participated in basic organizational development tasks such as best practices, leadership training, change management and attitude surveys.
Experience:
- 1-3 years previous work experience in a professional environment.
- An advanced degree preferred.
