Allstate Financial Services External Wholesaler - (Job Number: 0009UY)

Achieve sales plan for assigned products in assigned region. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the producers and sales opportunities within the market. Promote products through office visits, product and sales training seminars, leadership of public seminars and joint sales calls. Keep producers informed of Allstate's products, processes, compensation and service options. Develop successful working relationship with regional field sales leaders. Adhere to broker/dealer policies and procedures as well as applicable FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and state securities laws and regulations.
Responsible for the Midwest Region: Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Strategic Distribution Leadership
  • Drives product sales within assigned region.
  • Develops new business opportunities and sales growth by initiating and maintaining strong producer relationships.
  • Exhibits proactive sales techniques that lead to increased revenue through effective territory management.
  • Helps producers identify ways to attract and retain new and existing customers.
  • Assists in the development of producer business plans.
  • Participates in prospecting activities, and conducts point of sale work.
  • Provides product and sales training through individual and group training sessions, seminars, workshops and meetings.
  • Develops and adhere to regional wholesaling budget.
  • Recommends marketing and sales support initiatives to support and maximize sales efforts.
Business Unit Integration
  • Is accountable for working with regional distribution leaders to engage their participation and support in wholesaling initiatives.
  • Partners with internal sales associate to develop business initiatives, create new and penetrate existing client relationships
  • Builds and maintains relationships with management across functional lines.
  • Serves as a partner in strengthening the relationship between regional field leadership and the wholesaling team.

Qualification

Experience and Knowledge
  • Must have knowledge and 3-5 years sales experience Wholesaling financial products (internal, external or combination) with an emphasis on life products. Must also have a proven ability to grow a territory as measured by sales and persistency of business.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices. Expected to maintain knowledge of existing Allstate life products.
  • Must have a proven track record of selling financial services products.
  • Series 6, 7, 63 & Life Insurance License.
  • Advanced degrees or professional designations such as CFP, ChFC, CLU, a plus.
  • 4 year college degree preferred.
Analytical and Technical Skills
  • Extensive Financial Services product knowledge.
  • Expertise in FINRA, SEC, Broker/Dealer compliance requirements.
  • Strong aptitude for industry technology, including software applications, e-mail and database management from remote locations
  • Familiarity with industry including competitors and trends (i.e., knows what it takes to be successful in the financial services industry through knowledge of the industry's history, customers, and competitive environment).
