Major Responsibilities
Make calls on corporations within an assigned geographical region to solicit the Bank's credit and non-credit services to potential customers and to cross-sell additional services to existing
customers.
Identify customer needs and level of servicing required through discussions with corporate officers and analysis of financial status and/or operations.
Examine the depository services needed by the organization; discuss the Bank's major services in general, and enlist the aid of additional service specialists to explain and eventually implement the
desired services.
Evaluate the organization's credit needs, analyze the financial statements, structure loan package, and independently negotiate the terms and conditions with the customer on all but the most
complex loans. Present loans to the appropriate committee(s) as required.
Anticipate and identify potential servicing and/or credit problems of customers, research and develop possible solutions, and present solutions to customers and/or bank management for approval.
Develop and implement a personal marketing plan with senior management.
Manage junior lenders and analysts in the preparation of new credit requests and management of portfolio.Assist senior offices in the analysis and evaluation of the more complex credit arrangements.
Strong oral presentation and negotiation skills to include persuasion, diplomacy,
and salesmanship.
A thorough knowledge of the bank's loan policies and procedures, credit analysis, accounting principles, and the procedures involved in preparing an industry study. A
working knowledge of: all credit and the major depository services the Bank offers to corporate customers; corporate loan documentation procedures; credit risk vs. return relationship; Federal and State banking regulations.
5 to 7 years of experience in investment analysis and corporate finance within the bank loan or public debt markets. Candidate's experience should be rooted in broad credit analysis with a fundamental understanding of various forms of valuation analysis (e.g. CAPM, DCF, Enterprise Comparable Value, Liquidation).
