Certified Ophthalmic Technician

Performs complete patient screening, exam work-ups and ancillary testing.

Requirements

  • Current certification as Certified Opthalmic Technician (COT) required or eligibility for certification within 6 month of hire.
  • Good command of English and medical terminology.
  • Technical skills related to the technician level. A desire to work with pediatric and adult strabismus patients.
  • Ability to operate/maintain a variety of ophthalmic instruments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with hospital/department staff, patients and parents.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required within 6 months of hire.
