Job Description:

We provide full-scale professional services to both public and private sector transportation clients.

The Schaumburg, IL office seeks civil engineering students to join our growing office of structural, roadway, highway, rail, and intermodal designers and construction inspectors as co-ops. Applicants must be candidates for a BS degree in civil engineering, preferably with a study emphasis on structural or transportation engineering

Candidates must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects. Responsibilities will include preparation of design plans using Microstation, Geopak, MS Office, and other design software; preparation of project specifications and reports; inspection of various construction activities; and project coordination with other in-house engineering and technical staff, as applicable. TranSystems' Schaumburg office serves a variety of transportation clients, including railroads, state DOTs, tollway authorities, counties, municipalities, and developers.
