Job Description We are looking for a System Deployment Engineer to join the ServiceLive development team. You will be part of a highly motivated team working to create a platform that connects people who need services (paint your house, walk your dog, etc.) with providers who perform those services. The ideal candidate should have a positive can-do attitude, is not always satisfied with the status-quo, and has the drive and the ability to take themselves, the team, and the product to the corresponding next levels of quality and success on a relentless basis. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile development environment with aggressive deadlines.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Responsibilities/skills/experience requirements:
. Loads updates, fixes, and patches to servers supporting the ServiceLive.com web site.
. Deploy updates to QA, stress test, and integration test environments.
. Execute builds as needed.
. Follow all required data center processes.
. Perform special projects including documentation and data cleanup projects as required.
. Remotely interact and troubleshoot the production web site.
. May revise and submit for approval processes used by the group
. Maintain the source control system used by the development team.
. Install, upgrade, and configure infrastructure software (JBoss, Tomcat, MySQL, etc.)
. Participate in site outage resolution, when needed.
Required Skills:
. 2+ of software development or deployment experience.
. Good technical skills with Java technology stack (Tomcat, JBoss, JVM, etc).
. Good understanding of scripting and program compilation utilities (example, Hudson, Maven, Ant)
. Understanding of source control systems and branching schemes (example, Subversion).
. Experience with MySQL.
. Experience in a Linux environment.
. Ability to communicate effectively
. Highly self-motivated and independent
. Excellent troubleshooting skills
. Extensive experience in examining, investigating and solving dynamic problems with ability to think "out-of-the-box" and develop creative solutions.
. Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
. Strong communication skills for interaction with other teams and departments
. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
. Strong organization skills.
. Very detail oriented and able to follow through on assigned projects.
. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
. Ability to act both independently and as a team member.
. Strong language skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
. Strong reasoning skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to perform written or oral instructions. Ability to solve practical problems in standardized situations.
. MUST be able to work evening hours with some frequency

. Associate's degree in Computer related field (relevant experience may be substituted for education), Bachelor's degree preferred
