Title: Associate Brand Manager - Intern
Location: IL-Downers Grove (Metro Chicago)
Position Summary:
To manage assigned product lines. Assist Director of Marketing in developing long and short-term strategies, marketing plans, new products, packaging, advertising and sales promotion programs that will achieve corporate profit, volume and share objectives with Director of Marketing, develop objectives and strategies for assigned product lines consistent with corporate financial, volume and share goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist in development of long range marketing plan and manage short range objectives to meet volume and expenditure objectives for assigned categories.
* Recommend and initiate line extensions and new product development objectives for introduction in marketplace.
* Assist with development of new package design, label design, sales collateral material and marketing support materials.
* Assist in directing advertising agencies and other suppliers in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotions to insure maximum value from MAP expenditures.
* Analyze and interpret shipment and market research data to identify trends and opportunities to increase market share.
* Receive and respond to all sales requests concerning products, promotions, research, etc. and provide accurate information to appropriate departments.
* Assist with planning and coordinating all sales materials, including copy and visuals, need for bimonthly sales packages, sales meetings and marketing presentations.
* Bachelor's degree required; MBA desired; consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of marketing and consumer promotion.
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills required and must have a firm, quantitative background.
* Minimum 1-4 years experience.
