Cisco seeks an Account Manager who will be responsible for developing the NorthEast State and Local and Higher Education territory in the NorthEast as well as working along side the RM in order to identify and develop creative revenue opportunities for the region.
This AM position requires the following skills:
Relationship management
Strong communication skills coupled with superior negotiation skills
Working knowledge of product solutions
Demonstrates competence in using a variety of selling techniques
Understanding of Web 2.0 SaaS technologies Unified Communication and Collaboration tools preferred.
Strong relationship building and ability to align to the Cisco Government and Education Account Teams
Proven experience in leading a vertical sales team on day to day operations, development of a strategy and multi-year business plan, collaborative teamwork, and delivery of customer success by working through partners.
Extensive experience selling to CXO personnel with an understanding of government contracts and procurement vehicles.
Must be aggressive self-starter with ability to build executive relationships, articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, and create the demand and close deals. Data networking technical knowledge strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of working with complex technical accounts including calls on key decision makers and all other technical and business influencers required. The ability to negotiate solutions to issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy required.
Must have keen ability to position "end to end" solutions and articulate primary vendor strategies to senior customer executives.
Demonstrated knowledge of a process for running a sales territory, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, short term, mid term, long term opportunity management. Must have experience obtaining a quota of $8M+ and able to travel.
BS degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10yrs. successful experience managing a sales territory is preferred.
