Job Description The Legal Department is seeking an Assistant Paralegal with 3 to 5 years of experience to handle and process subpoenas. This candidate should have a solid understanding of the litigation process as well as experience in a law firm or corporate legal department as an administrative assistant or an assistant paralegal. This associate will report to the Office Manager and will be a member of the Legal Intake team. The Assistant Paralegal will ensure proper routing and handling of subpoena requests. The candidate will produce ad-hoc projects as directed by the Office Manager including: analyzing data, legal research, organization of records, and review and distribution of served documents.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Review subpoenas to determine the required responses.
. Input incoming subpoenas into the matter management system.
. Ensure efficient and timely response to subpoena requests.
. Interface with various departments to obtain information and documentation to respond to subpoenas.
. Receive and follow up on calls and inquiries regarding subpoenas and provide status updates.
. Interact with all levels of associates to gather information and facts.
. Work with large volumes of documents and quickly prioritize, organize, and complete assignments with accuracy.
. Conduct basic legal research and analysis as needed.
. Maintain computer databases to organize and store legal information.
. Perform administrative and legal support functions as directed.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
. Must work well in a team environment.
. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
. Must have experience with software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, matter management and document systems.
. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to monitor their own workload and meet productivity goals.
