Job Description
Internal responsibilities
- take over gear box responsibility after approved prototype test run
- Optimization of serial production gear units
- Contact person for questions from production
- Contact person for questions from quality department
- Process qualification
- Implementation for other material or components
- Liaison with central engineering in Germany
- design improvement
- cost reduction projects
- assisting in localization projects
- Owner of local Engineering change notice process
- Represent Winergy at customer meetings (OEM's and end-users) and at work related conferences
- Write technical papers
Customer responsibilities
-continuous customer support
- Case specific engineering response
- Implementation of new customer requirements
- Project management of customer requirement
Service responsibilities
- Failure analysis
- Inspection report
- Contact person for questions from service departments
General Requirements
- Engineering degree in mechanical engineering required
- 2 - 3 years experience in power transmission equipment (service or application engineering), preferably with gear units
- Preferably 2+ years of experience with repairing power transmission equipment (combustion engines, gear boxes, heavy industrial equipment, repairs of large automotive equipment trucks, cranes, tanks, or similar)
- Knowledge of metric system including tolerances
- Able to read complex technical drawings
- Able to work independently and within a tight time frame
- Preferably certified as a E.I.T. and pursuing P.E. license
- Able to travel nationally and internationally for app. 15% of the year
- Represent Winergy at customer meetings (OEM's and end-users) and at work related conferences
- Write technical papers
- Excellent knowledge of writing skills in English and preferably German
- Able to work at heights (300+ ft) required
- Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, project etc.
