The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit (LESBU) provides professional technical services and solutions in the core business areas of logistics services, logistics information technology, systems/sustaining engineering, product support, and transportation engineering and consulting. The LESBU is seeking qualified candidates to fill multiple Project Analyst II positions located in Rock Island, IL.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Analyst II will report to the Project Analyst III or a senior Logistics Analyst. The Project Analyst II, participates in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting on projects of varying type, size, complexity, and level of risk. Responsibilities include significant interface with managers, senior technical personnel, and other organizations. Implements policies and procedures in support of projects. Establishes and maintains cost/schedule baselines and develops schedules or resource loaded networks (RLNs) and budgets. Implements earned value methodologies and performs related variance analyses. May participate in new business process proposals for management review. Works on problems of diverse scope. Provides data and reporting formats for all types and levels of program reviews. Prepares written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variances. Contributes to the development of the organization's goals and objectives. Frequently interacts with outside customers and functional peer groups.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study and a minimum of 2 years experience in business process leadership and analysis. Appropriate experience may be substituted for education.

Requires knowledge of modeling and simulation in designing business systems and processes. Must be able to perform activity based costing methods to design and re-engineer process and document procedures. Knowledge of the Army's overarching Logistics structure and missions.

DESIRED SKILLS:

Candidates with DISCOM or CORPS level experience is a plus.
