Avaya Government Solutions has an opening
for a Sr. Systems/Network Engineer located in Scott
AFB, IL.
The candidate will be a member of a 4-6 person team
that will provide technical consultation to large Air
Force Local Area Networks (LAN) ranging from 1500 - 30,000
clients. Specific tasks will include: network performance
optimization, network troubleshooting, security enhancement,
regulatory compliance assessment, and training of technical personnel
at Air Force installations. Approximately 25 - 30% travel
required to Air Force locations worldwide. Candidate must be
able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience:Bachelors degree or
equivalent and 7+ years of experience
required.
Qualifications:
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE
2003 w/Exchange) *Required within 6 months of hire*
* MCITP:EnterpriseAdministrator / MCTIP:
Enterprise Messaging Administrator *desirable*
* CompTIA Security+ 2008 *Required within 6
months of hire*
* Ability to analyze, configure and maintain a
Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Structure
* Familiarity with disaster recovery
techniques
* Experience with installing, maintaining and
administering Windows Server Services to include: DNS, DHCP, WINS and
SMS
* Experience with large Messaging environments
to include Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007.
* Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks
(SANS)
* Perform network troubleshooting and
diagnostics on systems
* Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
Administrative utilities, Microsoft Baseline
* Security Analyzer and Microsoft Support
Tools
* Solid working knowledge of TCP/IP
networking
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Additional Skills:
* Experience inDoDNetworkControlCentersor Network Operations
and Security Centers is a plus
* VB or other scripting language
* SQL / Access DB
