Clinical Research Associate

Coordinate research initiatives within Institute for Sports Medicine and Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, including: Knee Injury Prevention Program (KIPP), KIPP for Coaches, Training to Reduce Injuries in Active Kids (TRAK), Prospective Pediatric Scoliosis Study (SPSS), Prospective Pediatric Kyphosis Study (PPKS), Urinary Bladder Regeneration Study, Brachial Plexus Study, Molecular Basis of Vertebral Anomalies and Scoliosis Study, Idiopathic Scoliosis Etiology #Ise) Study, Splinting Training Program for Advance Practice Nurses Study, Type I Open Fractures Study. Data entry and maintenance of all databases.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates reimbursement of subjects.
  • Assists in the recruitment of study subjects. Develops a relationship with study subjects.
  • Collects specimens from subjects. Special processing of specimens as instructed.
  • Prepares lab kits and requisitions prior to visits.
  • Records data on case report forms from source documents. Data interpretation and extraction.

FTE status: FT-80

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, in a related field preferred (undergraduate experience in research work desire) - or - Minimum of 2 years experience as a clinical research assistant with increasing responsibility; has been or is capable of performing the majority of Clinical Research Associate responsibilities.
