Job Description :

Under general direction of the Manager of Compensation, this position will lead the ongoing management and administration of all Compensation programs and processes. This position will play a lead role in the ongoing development and effective administration of the Solo Cup Company Hourly Compensation program, and overall automation of the Compensation function. In addition, this position will focus on assisting in the development and administration of Sales and Management Incentive programs. The position supports the performance management processes for both hourly and salaried employees, including annual market evaluation and benchmarking.

* Supports annual hourly and salaried performance management process and compensation administration. Prepares all analysis and summarization of merit recommendations for senior management. Analyzes results from participation and recommends position grading and pay structure changes based on analysis.

* Reviews job descriptions and will perform job evaluations. Performs ongoing review of FLSA compliance and assists with projects related to legal compliance.

* Monitors ongoing off-cycle increases against the overall compensation budget and develops reports to analyze and monitor various key compensation and performance metrics.

* Documents internal compensation processes and works to streamline all processes. Works with others within the HR department to ensure processes are understood and followed.

* Administers communications and tracking of information related to the Sales and Management Incentive programs. Maintains all information necessary to calculate bonus plans.

* Leads Compensation projects and cross-functional project teams.

* Performs ad hoc reporting on compensation related issues. May participate in third party compensation surveys as needed.

*Will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

* BS/BA degree in Business or related field.

* 4-6 years corporate Compensation experience within a fast-paced environment.

* Courses taken towards CCP preferred.

* Must be an expert-level user of Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in Access preferred.

* The position will have regular interaction with middle-level and senior management, and will lead meetings with the field HR managers. You must have a professional presentation, exceptional communication and presentation skills.

* Solid working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.

* Strong attention to detail is required for the position. You must have demonstrated this in your past work.

* Must be able to handle multiple projects and able to communicate with a wide variety of levels and positions within the organization.

* Must be capable of maintaining confidential information and integrity of the overall Compensation philosophy.

Please note: this position will be located in Highland Park, IL until December, 2009 at which time it will relocate to Lake Forest, IL as a part of our corporate headquarters relocation.
