Accenture Technology Consulting (ATC) falls within the SI&T organization and provides services aimed at improving the strategic intent, transforming economics and effectiveness, and the overall design, of a company's information technology capabilities and/or functions. Information technology capabilities include IT planning and management, IT processes and approaches, and IT assets that provide the operational components necessary to run applications.
Workplace Technology and Collaboration covers end-user computing solutions that deliver a high-performance work environment for organizations. Solutions are oriented around desktop transformations, messaging transformations, collaborative/productivity technology, and efficient deployment methodologies. Accenture uses information technology to automate common workplace activities. We team closely with our clients to help them shape a Next Generation Workplace and implement the work processes and IT infrastructure required to deliver high performance. Our solutions enable organizations to achieve significant competitive business advantage in workforce productivity improvements and efficiencies
Key Responsibilities May Include:
* Participate on a team designing, building and/or testing Application and/or Desktop Virtualization Technology
* Thoroughly document all facets of the infrastructure solution
* Apply Accenture methodology, Accenture reusable assets, and previous work experience to delivery consistently high quality work.
* Deliver written or oral status reports regularly
* Stay educated on new and emerging market offerings that may be of interest to our clients.
* Travel Required - 100% (Monday through Friday)
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in 3 of the following 5 areas:
* Collaboration and End User Productivity (e.g., SharePoint, Groove, OCS, NewsGator, Jive, InfoPath, WWF)
* Messaging Technologies (e.g. Microsoft Exchange 5.5/200x, Lotus Notes)
* Client Operating Systems (e.g. Microsoft Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Linux/Unix)
* Directory Systems (e.g. Windows Server 200x, Active Directory, Novell NDS, Sun1)
* Full End-user computing life cycle experience (architecture, design, build, implementation, remote management, patch management experience related to the above)
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in 3 of the 5 following areas:
* Desktop transformation and messaging environment implementations
* Virtual Computing Technologies (e.g. Terminal Services, Citrix, Wyse, VMWare)
* Cloud Computing to provide Software as a Service (SaaS) for Managed Messaging & Collaboration (e.g. Microsoft BPOS, Google, or others)
* Desktop Management (e.g. Microsoft SMS/SCCM, Altiris)
Preferred Skills:
* Architectural exposure to Red Hat LINUX, UNIX, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, IIS Server, J2EE, .NET and other technologies (Quest Software, Remedy and BMC)
* Previous Consulting or client service delivery experience
* Hands-on experience with Powershell, VBScript, TCP/IP, XML, C#, Java
* Personnel Development Experience (hiring, resource planning, performance feedback, etc.)
* Application development for Public/Private Cloud implementations (e.g. Azure, Google AppEngine, Amazon EC2, etc.)
Professional Skill Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem solving environment
* Attention to Detail
* Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills
* Strong analytical skills and thought processes
