CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Jacobs Engineering Group is currently seeking to add a Area Construction Manager to work on a major national rail program as part of the US Stimulus plan. This person will oversee multiple rail projects in a geographic area throughout the country. Candidates must have prior Rail Project construction experience and knowledge in one of the following fields:Communications and SignalsElectric TractionTrackStructures and StationsMaintenance Facilities Primary responsibilities will include: Expected to lead in a variety of tasks as needed included evaluating and correcting construction progress, review of invoice documentation and lead in remedying open issues.Lead for the team to meet contract budget and schedule requirements in prosecuting the work and managing the construction contract.Thorough understanding of contract terms and conditions.Interface and coordinate with other construction contractors, engineering managers, design engineers, document control and/or administrative assistant to maintain and track various logs, reports and correspondence.Attend progress meetings, review minutes and follow-up actions. Identify issues and resolve same.Basic Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position will have the following requirements: Minimum 20 years with a solid background in heavy civil constructionMinimum 10 years of Prior Rail Construction Project experienceMinimum 5 years of Prolog Software experienceDegree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent preferredValid Driver ?Ts license required Additional Minimum Qualifications/Preferred QualificationsResponsible for oversight/coordination of Inspection staffStrong PC Skills, familiar in the use of Expedition or similar software and Microsoft Office Strong time management and attention to detail Excellent organizational skillsWilling to trave
