Job Description

The Commodity Trading and Risk Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) plays a critical role in helping to sell and deliver to clients. The SME is responsible for providing input to asset development, proposals, ongoing engagements and capability development materials. The SME presents to clients, presents to external bodies (i.e., conferences) and conducts training.

Accenture is looking for a candidate with background in power, energy, crude oil, refined products. In fact, the more commodities this person has experience with the better. In addition, individuals with experience in products such as aluminum, zinc, lead, copper, emissions, carborn trading, Emissions credits, NOx, and Sox will have a distinct advantage. As a secondary responsibility the candidate should have an ability to focus around the North America Utilities Market.

We need people who are able to sell Accenture, especially Systems Integration and Technology work. You will need to have the right balance IT and business savvy-ness as well as a deep mastery of the business.

The ideal candidate will understand the business landscape from font end to back end. They must be knowledgeable in: Research and analysis, Trading and origination, Risk management and operations, Scheduling and logistics, Accounting. Priorities would be: Settlement, logistics and scheduling.

An understanding of multi-platforms, specifically Openlink Endure is also highly important to succeed in this role.

-- Extensive experience of working with commodity trading organizations to design and implement front-to-back office solutions, where "solutions" encompasses business processes, roles/responsibilities, systems, data, management controls

-- Direct experience with the front-to-back business requirements across multiple commodities, including all of the following: crude and oil products, natural gas, electricity, base metals, emissions

-- Proven track record of others viewing candidate as a "SME", internal and/or external to candidate's organization

-- Direct experience presenting to large audiences on CTRM topics

-- Direct experience authoring papers on CTRM topics

-- Familiarity with Openlink, Solarc and Triplepoint

-- Familiarity with the integration architecture for aforementioned packages with SAP, credit systems, logistics systems, exchanges, tax systems and other relevant touch points via middleware (preferably TIBCO) or point-to-point

-- Familiarity with architectures for reference and master data management

-- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a teaming environment

-- Strong written and verbal communication skills

-- Strong professional presence

-- Established network within the trading and risk management community consisting of business contacts, IT contacts and vendor contacts

Basic Qualifications:

* 5 years experience working with commodity trading organizations to design and implement front-to-back office solutions. Candidates must be able to both assist with sales and also delivery.

* 5 years experience in Utilities, Chemicals, Natural Resources or Energy industry

* Bachelors degree

Preferred Skills:

* Mastery of multiple commodities (Crude Oil, Refined Products, Natural Gas, Power and Eletricity), Base Models (Aluminum, Zinc, Copper, Lead) and/or emmissions credit trading.

* Familiarity with multiple platforms including Openlink Endur, Solarc, Triple Point, or Sungard

* Experience with functions such as Research and Analysis, Trading Origination, Risk Management, Operations and Accounting, Scheduling and Logistics.

* Candidates should be conversant in multiple commodities, at a minimum crude, produce, gas and power. Metals and emissions are a plus.

* Direct experience with the front-to-back business requirements across multiple commodities, including crude and oil products, natural gas, electricity, base metals, emissions

* Proven track record of others viewing candidate as a "SME", internal and/or external to candidate's organization
