PROJECT MANAGER - Entry-Level Opportunity
As a Project Manager - Specialist, you will be responsible for managing overall pursuit and/or project delivery including scope, timelines, resources, budget, risks and issues, relationships and communication.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with work efforts, scoping and developing budget, timeline and resource plans.
  • Monitoring projects, helps track and document completion of work plan activities.
  • Tracking assignments and utilization for projects. Researching and reporting on resource capacity and allocation issues.
  • Assisting with setting project goals and objectives for a given work effort with project team members.
  • Monitoring and tracking project budget, reporting changes to requirements through defined change management process.
  • Assisting in conducting research and analysis to understand and document key issues and risks.
  • Developing positive relationships and managing communications with project, pursuit and/or interfacing teams.
  • Identifying relevant knowledge to make recommendations for the best solutions for the client/user.
  • Drafting sections of desired/required communication plans for project delivery, status and metrics.
The successful candidate should exhibit the following skills and abilities:
  • Project Leadership - Demonstrates leadership with peers and as a member of a small team. Shows technical leadership by taking responsibility for projects and assignments.
  • Project Communications - Has basic experience, training, direct exposure or past experience in project communications tasks.
  • Scope Control and Change Management - Demonstrates the ability to adapt well to small changes in projects without a loss in personal productivity.
  • Project Planning - Demonstrates ability to anticipate basic resource needs.
  • Project Quality Assurance - Has participated in the process of establishing, communicating and monitoring standards for quality and excellence.
  • Project Issues Management - Has basic experience, training, direct exposure or past experience addressing issues as they arise during the course of project.
  • Project Estimating - Establishes realistic time and cost estimates for a small, short term project.
  • Internal Consulting - Understands the basic role of an internal consultant, both in terms of client relationships as well as staff interaction.
  • Project Control/Implementation - Implements and controls a small project or a team on a larger project. Prepares and presents accurate status reports.
