The Application Developer - Intern creates detailed technical specifications, develops multi-tier web based application and system code, participates in code reviews and module testing, and supports ongoing maintenance of applications. The applicant will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the existing application code base.
APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER - Internship Opportunity
The individual will be responsible for:
- Analyzes and reviews business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Provides input into detailed project estimates and work plan.
- Participates in creating detailed technical design documents.
- Develops code for system changes or new modules according to specifications and standards.
- Participates in code review.
- Prepares accurate test plan and data and tests modules.
- Plans and conducts module and basic integration testing.
- Prepares and packages code elements for production deployment.
- Performs production support and troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Other responsibilities:
- Demonstrates understanding of technical environment.
- Builds and sustains relationships.
- Supports process improvements.
- Supports corporate strategy.
- Maintains awareness of vendor futures and suggests uses or improvements to business.
The skills required are:
- Beginner - Program Design
- Beginner - Applications System Architecture
- Beginner - Programming
- Beginner - Program Documentation
- Beginner - Program Testing
Qualification
Experience Required:
Good communication skills - both written and oral
Computer Proficiency:
C++, C#, Java, J2EE, ASP.Net, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Oracle/DB2/ SQL Server, UML.

Education:
Major preference: Computer Science or related
