*Nursing Manager - Acute Rehab Unit
Title: *Nursing Manager - Acute Rehab Unit
Location: IL-Granite City (St. Louis region)
The Nurse functioning at the middle level of nursing administration is accountable to the appropriate executive level administration. Guides and directs patient care units in implementation of hospital and departmental goals and standards. The nursing manager assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24/7 basis. Assumes responsibility for the quality of patient care delivered in clinical areas defined within the organizational chart of the Department of Nursing. Is responsible for meeting the JCAHO standards for own administrative areas. Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments of the organization.
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
* Minimum of five years experience in nursing with at least three years in Acute Rehabilition experience preferred. Prior management or charge nurse experience highly desirable.
Licenses/Certification:
* Holds valid Illinois license as a registered professional nurse (or eligible by endorsement).
