Job Description Manage strategic plan development for online & emerging initiatives for Sears Holdings (Sears & Kmart formats). Steward and adapt media plans to adjustments in the marketing calendar. Collaborate with the Online & Emerging Media agency of record to develop media strategies and direct the agency through execution, optimization and post campaign evaluation. Manage the accurate distribution of data from online & emerging media initiatives to creative, marketing planning & operations, ecommerce, brand teams, CRM and finance. Collection of data and insights relating to competitive media strategies. Primary back up on media issues relating to all online & emerging media activity.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES:
.Develops online & emerging media plans that deliver the marketing calendar and integrate with offline media plans
.Develops insights to effectively and efficiently reach the target audience
.Manages the accurate distribution of data from online & emerging media initiatives to creative, marketing planning & operations, ecommerce, brand teams, CRM and finance
.Owns competitive media insights, works collaboratively with other marketing groups to form an integrated view of competitive media strategies
.Assists in the interpretation of the marketing calendar to the media plan, primary back up to Manager, Online & Emerging Media on media planning issues
.Works closely with agency and business to proactively pursue innovative test programs to establish actionable insights
.Attends all of the business planning meetings and assists where appropriate with costing and planning models
.Proactively works with and directs agency in the development of strategic planning initiatives designed to maximize the ROI for that business
.Works closely with internal Business Marketing Managers, Directors and Media Budget Planner to support the day to day needs of each program
REQUIREMENTS:
.BS/BA in Advertising, Marketing or related field of study. MBA a plus
.2-5 years minimum experience in related field
.Ability to evaluate complex media recommendations and develop performance evaluation models
.Understanding of online & emerging media nuances
.Ability to motivate agency to provide effective recommendations
.Highly customer friendly
.Listen to customer needs and agency expertise to make effective strategic decisions and recommendations on behalf of the business
.Working knowledge of media planning concepts and how they relate to achieving marketing goals
.Able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
.Able to adjust existing priorities based on changing business conditions
.Computer proficiency, including: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
.Working knowledge of CMR
.Effective verbal and written communication skills
.Able to work collaboratively with other Sears Associates, Agency Partners and media vendors
.Able to take direction from supervisors and implement an action plan that delivers projects on time and accurately
.Proficiency in basic math skills in the areas of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and statistics
