Overview:



Performs technical maintenance services on all facility systems and equipment.



Responsibilities:



1. Perform preventative maintenance actions, troubleshoot, and conduct repairs on refrigeration, Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC), freezer systems, material handling equipment, and building equipment, as necessary. Records maintenance actions on work orders.

2. Perform general and preventative maintenance on electric forklift truck and electric walkers. Record maintenance actions on work orders.

3. Perform general carpentry, masonry, plumbing & electrical system, repairs and construction tasks, as necessary.

4. Assist outside contractors in the performance of maintenance tasks.

5. Inspect and conduct daily checks of all batteries on operating equipment.

6. Perform other duties as directed.



Qualifications:



1. High School diploma/GED equivalent

2. Vocational technical training from accredited schools in areas of electrical repair, heating ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC) and/or four years lift truck servicing and repairs.

3. Two to four years maintenance experience desirable.

4. Technical experience to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment.

5. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices.

6. Knowledge of hand power tools, Volt Ohm Metering (VOM) systems, electronic measuring systems.

7. Physically capable of lifting fifty pounds and standing six to eight hours.

8. Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, etc).

9. Basic knowledge of computer software - MS Office.

10. Good communication skills

11. Strong customer service skills
