We currently have an opening on our team for a Manager, Sports and Event Marketing located in Chicago, IL.
The Manager of Sports and Event Marketing will identify and manage sponsorship and event marketing opportunities. Translate general market concepts into relevant promotions that are applicable to consumers with brand teams and Field-based stakeholders. Ensure that sponsorships enhance brand and corporate image within the community while protecting brand essence. Identify and execute community relevant programs.
Responsibilities:
-Establish event schedule and identify the necessary resources required to execute events.
-Develop an effective print campaign that targets specific markets.
-Align with broad promotions team to structure supportive promotional programming
-Continuously evaluate and improve events and sponsorships post execution through after action reviews.
-Act as primary resource among Brand, Field Sales, Chain Accounts, and Corporate Social Responsibility
-Identify suppliers (print, promotions) to drive awareness of brands within the community
-Evaluate supplier performance ensuring that all programming reinforces core brand equities
-Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, sociology
-5+ years of relevant experience
-Promotion and execution management
-Must have a strong grasp of sports, arts, and community sponsorship properties, their respective roles/values in the integrated marketing mix
