Scope of Job:
The position is located in Northbrook, IL The purpose of the department is to provide accounting, reporting, analysis and processing for the investments purchased by Allstate. The Investment Operations Department offers a supportive, diverse, team based culture. We invest in our employees by offering many professional development opportunities. Position Responsibilities:


* Participate in the analysis, planning, testing and implementation of system releases.
* Provide daily customer support of the investment accounting system for equity, fixed income and derivative investments.
* System troubleshooting and resolution of systems issues.
* Completion of initial system balancing for statutory reporting process and related quarterly support activities.
* Special projects and assignments.

Qualification

Required Skills: (skills individual must bring to the job) and skill levels required:
- Beginner (has general understanding/knowledge)
- Intermediate (has good working knowledge/understanding)
- Advanced (is considered an expert)

Experience Required:
5 plus years professional accounting experience. 3 to 5 years of investment related processing, accounting or reporting a plus. Exposure to project management methodology and system implementations a plus.



Computer Proficiency: (computer skills needed to do the job)
Office suite, Access, Experience with investment accounting applications. Exposure to or knowledge of SQL and database reporting tools a plus.

Bachelors degree in accounting or business preferred
Minimum of five year experience in (German/English) accounting department handling full set of books incl. invoicing, receipts, payment processing & reporting
Well-experience in taxation, bookkeeping and general office administration

Monitor the daily operation of office functions
