| This hourly (non-exempt) position is responsible for providing coordination and support in the consistent application of policies, procedures and practices of the Human Resources department. Areas of focus include employee benefits administration, payroll and recruitment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide administrative support to the employee benefits, payroll and recruitment teams. Accurately maintain records in the HRIS and applicant tracking systems relative to new hires, terminations, status changes, salary adjustments and benefits administration. Scan documents and maintain accurate records in electronic employee files, including but not limited to records for the purpose of efficiently administering health and dental benefits, life insurance, long term disability insurance, workers' compensation 401(k) and COBRA. Write custom reports within the HRIS database and applicant tracking system as well as create spreadsheets, charts and graphs to analyze employee and applicant data. Post and document open positions as well as perform audits to ensure that positions are displayed accurately. Coordinate the pre-employment process for candidates that have been offered positions with First American Bank. Order supplies, create new employee orientation materials, reconcile insurance billing, maintain tuition assistance records, manage the employee service award process and complete verifications of employment. Provide support during benefit renewals, open enrollment as well as year end payroll activities. Perform various HR research projects related to compliance and employment law as needed. Assist the HR department during various audits by gathering appropriate data. Provide service to both internal and external customers by responding to HR related inquiries via phone and email. Assist in the planning of companywide events. QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of two years experience in a Human Resources environment with a focus on employee benefits administration. Working knowledge of federal and state employment law as well as knowledge of HR practices and fundamentals, with experience in areas of benefits compliance, payroll and recruitment preferred. Banking experience a plus. Excellent organization and time management skills, with a sharp attention to detail and accuracy required. Must be results driven with the proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment. Superior time management and follow-up skills required. Must work well independently as well as part of a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. Must demonstrate the ability to resolve problems and work well with all levels of employees from entry level to executive management. In addition, due to the nature of the human resource function, the candidate must maturely and discreetly handle highly confidential/sensitive human resource data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience in maintaining data within HRIS software preferred. Database report writing skills preferred. Crystal Reports, Izenda Reporting and/or ABRA Suite HRIS experience a plus. Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations may be necessary. Using your ability to effectively multi-task, you will provide comprehensive day-to-day administrative support for CZS University including assisting to develop the course catalogue, maintain annual calendar, coordinate all logistics and materials for assigned training, and maintain accurate records of all training required and completed. Additional responsibilities not limited to but include: assisting with onboarding and induction of new hires, preparing orientation materials, distribute new hire paperwork, enroll new hires in all required training, assign and follow through on projects assigned to seasonals, volunteers or temporary staff, monitor inventory of office supplies, and create/track purchase orders. The requirements for this position include: · Minimum Associates Degree in Human Resources, Secretarial Science, Business Administration or other directly relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experience required. · Minimum 3 years previous, comparable HR administrative experience required. · Accurate typing of 40 words per minute required. · Able to maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information. · Ability to use or quickly learn standard office equipment, including but not limited to calculator, copier, and scanner. Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software required. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel strongly preferred. · Excellent telephone etiquette and effective listening skills required. Excellent customer service orientation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential. · Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with diverse individuals and personalities. Must communicate with sensitivity and have a strong customer service approach. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and employees in other departments. · Solid organizational and time management skills. Ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities with strong follow-up and follow-through skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. · Good decision-making and problem-solving skills. Good judgment; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with little or no supervision. · Strong proofreading skills and attention to details and accuracy essential. Knowledge of basic office procedures and ability to follow standard business formats required. · Experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience. PHR or other HR certification desirable. * Minimum five years directly related HR experience in a professional or para-professional HR role, including significant para-professional/administrative support. Minimum three years relevant experience in handling and resolving difficult employee relations issues required. Experience with benefits and/or compensation highly preferred. * Accurate typing of 45-50 words per minute and accurate data entry skills required. * Excellent organizational and proofreading skills required. Eye for detail and accuracy critical. * Effective problem-solving abilities; sound, logical decision-making skills required. * Strong interpersonal skills and business savvy required. Must communicate with sensitivity and have a strong customer service orientation. Strong verbal communication skills and listening skills required. * Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a consistently heavy workload; requires a highly flexible individual who is able to adapt quickly to change, meet critical deadlines and work under pressure. * Strong follow-up and follow through abilities required with strong figure aptitude and analytical skills essential. * Able to maintain strict confidentiality of highly privileged information. * Intermediate to expert-level computer proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and database systems required. Minimum 3 plus years of solid experience with HRIS system(s) and reporting.
